Is that REALLY the best you can do?

The Sandwich Enterprise -- still available in 2-ply rolls!
There was an amusing headline on page two of this week's Emptyprize -- "NotThePTA Blogger Tapped to Design SEIC Website".  The best excerpt was "... that blog has earned a reputation for creating controversy with strong criticism and negative comments against school committee members and other members of the public ...".

They "forgot" to mention all of the criticism and negative comments this blog aimed at the local "media" over the years!!

They also "forgot" to mention my almost 30 years experience in finance, real estate development and technology, or that I have been developing websites for numerous public and private clients on both a paid and pro-bono basis for many years.

I think the SEIC's mission to encourage private development is the best hope this Town has to attempt to stabilize its finances without choking residential taxpayers.  I am glad to donate my time to their efforts.

Could this be yet another pathetic attempt by The Emptyprize to create controversy where none exists?

never fear, Bob, the only people who read that rag are parents looking for their kids name in the school honor roll list. Saying you read the Emptyprize for "content" is very similar to a guy saying he reads Playboy for the "interesting articles" !!!! Though I will admit that the slant in the article about you and the other one about the SC election of officers was more slanted and pathetic than ever. Paradise and Stanley are really turning into cartoon characters!

The Enterprise article shows how inferior the paper is once again. It is small town beyond small town. The reporting is generally bias, we still have a cranky old lady pretending that she has relevant things to say about the town and damaging innovation and progress, and frankly sometimes I just don't get how they can print the stuff they do. The Enterprise is part of the problem not the solution. The article proves it. I even wonder if the paper belongs to any professional associations. When I first moved here someone said to read it. As the years went on all the smart people I met did not read it. Now I see the person who swears by it and all others that actually makes decisions based on it, are negatives in town in regards to creating a better community. They want to remain a gossip mongering backwards community rather then a dynamic positive community.

Blogs don't start controversy. They feed on them and they have a right to. Seems to me the Enterprise does the same thing. Non-story and truly insulting to the intellect of the community, but probably not to the intellect of the paper.

I always say that the only reason to read the Emptyprise is to learn how the crazy half of town thinks.
