Déjà vu All Over Again ?

I can't help but think of the Movie "Groundhog Day", where the residents of Gobbler's Knob relive the same story over and over...

I take it we are talking about SM jumping in at the last minute. The union will control that vote. So is it a done deal Bob in your opinion?

Soooooo, did anyone see Sherry Marshall and Marie Kangas with Write In signs at QMH Road and Cotuit on Sunday morning? ITs on folks.

Are you referring to the potential return of Marshall Law?

I thought it telling that the first place I saw the SM write-in sign was in front of the dump.

Ann 9:43 - I would not say it is a done deal. Look what happened last year. At least the teachers get vote anonymously and will hopefully once again show that they do not all support the current union president's views. But just in case...start telling EVERYONE to vote.

I'm sure Killion had legitimate reasons to be away this week -- but she needs to speak up.

Given the union's hatred of her they're going to work hard to flush her.

It's important that folks vote for all three names on the ballot -- or we'll all be riding Mr. Peabody's Wayback Machine backwards 20 years!

If SM wins a write-in campaign, its only because the folks that "care" about the School District didn't get off their ass and vote.

Marshall's people will turn-out if for no other reason than a last ditch effort to save their beloved pool.

Wouldn't it be funny if the SC voted to drain the pool this week -- maybe we could hold Town Meeting in it if it dried out in time!!

WELL NOT BAD ONLY TOOK 24 HOURS FOR THE NEGETIVITY TO START BOB!SHERRY HAS ALWAYS CARED ABOUT THE SCHOOL DISTRICT AS WELL AS ALOT OF OTHER FOLKS. WHEN AND IF THEY DRAIN THE POOL WHERE WILL THE HIGH SCHOOL SWIM TEAM GO? MARSHALL LAW?LAST TIME I CHECKED THERE ARE 7 SC MEMBERS. WELL BOB YOU ONLY HAVE TWO WEEKS TO TRY AND DESTROY SHEERY'S REPUTATION NOT THE WHOLE YEAR AS YOU AND YOUR FOLLOWERS HAD LAST TIME.I WAS HOPEING THAT THE MEANEST THAT EXIST IN YOUR ANONYMOUS COMMENTERS WOULD CHANGE. I WAS WRONG.

Agree that SM going for a write in win should motivate folks to get out and vote for progress! Please don't be apathetic. This is not the time. Mom's club and all other young family groups, you need to get out the vote big time!

Gimme a break.

I am sarcastic and occasionally cranky -- so what. If you want homogenized pablum read something else.

I'm not out to ruin or persecute anyone. Unlike many folks -- when I have a thought I put my name on it.

I have no doubt Sherry cares for the schools -- I sat with her for 2 terms. We didn't agree on every issue, but we got along and I never questioned her motivation.

I do disagree with her position on the Community School and I disagreed with her position on Dr. Johnson.

In fact, the only reason I allowed the infamous meeting continuation to go through was to get an answer to a question Sherry raised. If I didn't respect her opinion, I could easily have ignored her question and passed the motion with sufficient votes.

I think the Supt is doing a good job -- even though I disagree with him on some issues. (Just as I did the last two.)

I've also disagreed with other former and current School Committee members -- many good friends that I see on a regular basis.

All that being said, So what?

I'm not going block comments just because they are more negative than the ones I make. (Although I may block comments which are boring, repetitive, or irrelevant.)

I applaud anybody who would want to step into the local political snake pit. It takes conviction to be willing to give up a huge amount of personal time to listen to people who have done no research or who have no understanding of an issue bitch at you.

I wish more folks would take their turn in the barrel -- even for 1 term. The local political gene pool could use some chlorine!

Soooooooo, all you save taxpayer money types. Sandwich "saved" over $750,000 a year with a State Law for cities and towns switching the healthcare costs to the employee through much higher co-pays. I have one question.....did your taxes go down? With hand to ear I will patiently wait for the answer. All that money "saved" went where?

To the subsidy for the transfer station operations or the debt on the golf course or the High School remodel.
