The Truth Maker would add the proposal to build any thing inside a sensitive marsh is mind boggling.

The envirnmental impact alone could change the filtering action that the marsh naturally does.

Before they even think about raising any money and working out the details, it would behoove the town to secure some assurance from the State Department of Envirnment, that a project of this dimension would even be allowed to go forward.

Driving piles into a fragile marsh , to hold a walking peir, will with out question destroy the natural habitat forever.

Why not build a bridge across it instead, that is self supported by all this hot air floating around. Perhaps we can get a hot air balloon to transport all these walkers and bikes.

Better yet, why do we not spend our time into resolving more important town issues, like the building of a new safety building.

Or resolving the Pay as you throw mindset.

Why are we waiting until the budget is being passed at town meeting?

What type of account will this be set up to manage it?

What happens to the #750,000 that we will approve at town meeting on the line item for operating the town transfer station ?

Thats right $750,000 comming out of our tax dollars to pay the balance that is made up by the stickers we all buy, will now not be needed. That is once we pay the sticker and bag price. Where will this money go in the budget down the road.?
