WTF?

Well, it must be Pulitzer season.

The Emptyprize -- the local rag of record if you want to see who got arrested this week, see a local sports picture, house-break a puppy, or wrap a fish, has admitted to taking a brave editorial stand.  They will no longer publish letters questioning Global Warming -- which they (The Emptyprize) have now deemed to be proven fact.

Thank God.

Because you know what a tremendous influence a letter on Global Warming has on the local "news" audience!   Those letters usually serve as good indicators that somebody's homework assignment was to write a Letter to the Editor -- or that somebody has no job and absolutely nothing significant with which to fill their day.

Now that they have got that Global Warming crisis under control, maybe they could do something about Judy Koenig's delusions ?

Like you, I found the editorial about publishing facts amusing.
Emptyprize staff writers, including Judy, continue to publish articles that promote the notion that the Community School and Pool were once profitable and that the Community School once had a cash surplus. Both of these assertions are false. The Town’s own auditor has issued several letters and or reports that make clear that the Community School and pool have always run deficits and were only “profitable” so long as either the Town or Schools were paying the Community Schools unpaid debts like rent, electric/utilities, pool supplies, etc.
Just a few weeks ago Judy again wrote that the Community School was once flush with cash and profits. Evidently, Judy can keep writing those words but heaven help her if next week she suggests that the science of global warming is anything other than a settled matter.

After I saw that editorial, I thought to myself "I wish I never read that". I cannot get over the arrogance of these save the planet types of blabber from the liberal media. Yes, the climate changes. I will never dispute the earth is constantly changing. It just so happens that is what the earth does and has been doing for 5 billion years. To think that our 100 years of industrialization has any effect is again, so arrogant. If one could go back in time and witness the ice ages, the droughts, the fires, volcanoes, plate shifting, asteroid landing, suffocating air, oceans containing so much nickel that the water was red, and the general history of this planet, they would see that we are speck of nothing. In George Carlin's words "The earth is fine, the earth isn't going anywhere.... WE are! We're going away folks. The earth is going to shake us off like a bad case of fleas". So as far as the Enterprise and their editorial, that's fine, they can do what they want and ignore reality or any other form of opinion. It's the fashionable thing to do these days, it's their religion, their holy grail, and they will force it upon us WEATHER we like it or not. Disgusting.

The Ice packs of the world are slowly melting away , causing the sea levels to rise along all of our coast lines. The warming of the air we breathe and warming of the water has resulted in many other aquatic resource problems, from changing where and how fish and other sea creatures survive in the oceans of our world to moving them into areas they never have ever been seen before. We have seen the results of the ever increased gulf stream water temperatures to a point that we here on Cape Cod this past year saw Cape Cod Bay reach water tempertures of over 75 degrees. This resulted in a shut down of the Plymouth Power plant, as the water was insufficient to cool the reactors. We had some species of fish that have never even been seen in our waters , get caught as a result of the increase of water temperatures that have changed the habitat in our waters going into the future.

The planet has changed for all of mankind as well, as the ice cap melts ,more and more natural disasters will occur and recovery may not be an option along the many beach fronts it will affect, just moving further inland will be the only chance for .

The Enterprise is run by morons. They get excited about ice bergs and ignore local incompetence and real issues that cost real people real money. The hell with the penguins .... and the plovers!

Their little shrews routinely get spoon-fed "news" by the parties involved in their "stories". They don't even give the appearance of being objective.

And there's one of the little spoon-feeding shrews now!

Hey, Dope -- there's a major difference between a free, private blog and a paid commercial newspaper. His blog is very clearly his opinion -- he doesn't pretend to call it "news". The local rag has been so prejudicial in its coverage over the years that it has become a local joke. The news coverage in the free Broadsider beats it constantly -- faster, cheaper, and way more accurate.

The Enterprise is part of the "Sandwich problem." It is parochial, poorly written, and never does any real investigation. It should stay completely neutral on issues that matter and just do local people stories. It takes sides only because it can and has no real core belief. It pretends to be a real paper. It is destructive so much of the time.

I AGREE, IT SHOULD STAY NEUTRAL JUST LIKE THE GLOBE, NY TIMES, AND HAROLD.
