The Truth Maker would also like to add the words of the season and that is Merry Christmas to one and all. We all will be having our families over to celibrate the most joyous time of the year and we all get a chance to reflect upon the past year.
Some may need a little more assistance then others, hopefully your prayers will be answered.

Special thank you to each and every member of our armed forces who through there sacrifices help to keep our democratic values alive and well.

If some did not make the ultimate sacrifice for each of us, we would not be able to participate in this type of free speach, that we have have on this blog.

May all of you not find any coal in your sock this special day, but sugar and spice and every thing nice. Especially to the children of our fair town.

I hope I do not wake up Christmas morning and exclaim,"I got nuthin'"

Come on big guy -- give Marie her Policy and Procedure Manual back for Christmas! Then the fun will really begin. Is it true that she will require a one-on-one aide to read and understand that manual? Just asking . . . maybe there's money in the school committee line item to fund that service! :)

What a shameful performance at the last school board meeting from Chair Marshall, Asst. Chair Linehan,Crossman and Kangas, they obviously forgot Christmas was only 10 days away. Maybe they need to create a policy on how to behave as good Christians. Their actions towards Dr. Johnson was disgraceful, along with Chair Marshall allowing Lehane'e (not on the agenda)rant against Dr. Johnson.

Marshall leading the 3rd "completely random" citizen group to guide what Sandwich wants in a superintendant, simply hilarious. Qualifications for next super: Incompetant, arss kisser who Marshall and gang can micromanage. Union lover and able to keep mouth shut regarding K-12 monies being used to continue operation of Comm School and Pool.

Merry Christmas and Happy Healthy 2011 to all the great christians who truly have been trying to be good advocates for our children!

Special thank you to Cahill, Killion and Susko for their attempts to do right by our children.

I find it hard to believe that any of you are christians. Your hateful words and negativity are closer to satanic. I realize you people aren't getting things done the way you want. I realize that members of the SC look at things in a different manor. But to sit there and say that they are unable to read, that they are stupid, ignorant and all those other colorful adjectives you use, just proves to me the same about you. A good christian looks for the good in people, you have never made an attempt. Nor has anyone tried to speak to the members to find out anything about them that is factual. Fine, if it makes you feel better believe what you will. But I will say that there is nothing I have read in this blog so far that is even near the truth ( except in your little minds).
Why you think we don't care about the students is ridiculous, some of us have children in the system.(unlike others who kids have never gone to Sandwich schools)I understand you have a right to your opinions, but at least try to get some facts in your statements. I do wish you all happy holidays, and I will have mine with people who believe in me and know who I am and what I'm really about. I wish you the same. God bless.

Somebody got a ghostwriter for Xmas! !!

The Truth Maker would like to respond to mak.

First off being a christians is a matter for another time and place and I will agree with you for now, that this is not the place or time for this discussion.

Some times in life we need to reflect the reasons we believe and ask ourselves if they are a worth while endeavor.

Mixing topics with some ones belief's can be a tricky undertaking.

As a believer and a christian, I once again wish every friend and foe the greetings of this day. May the birth of our saviour remind us all that Christmas time is a special event of the year. Brothers and Sisters, we are one this day and let those who celibrate the birth, never forget.

And anon. 1:30p proves my point. Small children have better manners than you ANON - afraid to use your name? Would you like to meet and talk and find out what my points of view are and why I make the decisions I do. I'd like to meet you to find out why you are so narrow minded and cruel.I hope you treat your family and friends better than you do a complete stranger!! Have a safe holiday.

Anonymous said...

Yeah....things could be worse

whose is Mak? Why is mak challenging 1:30 to identify themselves, when mak isn't saying who they are.
This school board has no plan, many decisions are based on their feelings and rumors. 7 months of irrational emotionally driven decisions is what most of the residents are witnessing. Start by posting your secret plans for a new superintendant?
What is your plan for eliminating the 3 million deficit?? Layoffs your will fight right? When will you answer the audit with significant changes to the comm. school financial protocols?
Why such disdain for the superintendant? Answer some of these questions then maybe we can understand and move forward in a positive way.

Mak the last 7 months of school committee decisons and actions would be classified as hateful! No plans or reasoning for your actions and inactions.....the hate towards Dr. Johnson is just incredible to watch human beings perpetuate their witch hunt of Dr. Johnson. Why do you four hate her so much?

If Mak is in fact, Marie Kangas (her initials) then simply step up and say so. I sat near Mrs. Kangas during two SC meetings before she was elected to the board. That woman yelled from the crowed, shouted obsenities at the board and interrupted speakers while heckling the committee! At no point, ever, did Mrs. Kangas dial our home phone to have lunch with my husband to discuss why he voted the way he did or to get to "understand the history of his votes". Never happened, Mak. I will never entertain a debate as to who is and isn't a christian. That's utter nonsense and so far off the track of this entire issue that it's absurd. I will say this, even voters who once believed in Nancy Crossman's ideals and values have publicly stated that the last meeting did them in. It was ugly, juvenile and in my opinion, illegal. This board had best re-read OML rules and regulations. Maybe Mak just had too much eggnog before spiraling into orbit on this blog -- Marie Kangas -- who knows if it was her. I just know my first hand experience with that woman's behavior in a public forum on several occasions. Trust me, she wasn't singing kumbaya or "God blessing" anyone. It was downright embarrassing!

Elected officials are judged by their actions --- not what they say over coffee.

If I see someone behaving like a hostile, ill-informed jerk at a public meeting, that's all I need to know!

I watched Kangas at a meeting last year (before the union elected her) as she delivered a crazy prepared oration on the school budget. Unfortunately, she apparently didn't realize the budget was based on a June 30 year and the document she was babbling about had been approved the prior winter.

Simmons almost had a heart attack stifling his laughter as he explained she was several months late for that discussion.

Bob Simmons said...

Yes he did. Apparently, I didn't stifle my laughter as much as I should have!

I kept thinking of Gilda Radner as Emily Litella on a late 70's episode of Saturday Night Live -- I was waiting for her to say "Oh, never mind!".

Responding to mak(kangas) in an earlier thread I cited the school committee witch hunters not behaving like Christians. I stand by those comments because they have not behaved like rational human beings for 7 months now. Our golden rule in our family has always been "Do Unto Others As You Would Have Them Do Unto You!" and that applies 365 days a year, don't bother with church just behave like a Christian everyday.

Has anyone notified the A.G. office yet? This arrogant School Board continues to thumb their noses at the auditors report and they continue the smoke and mirrors bs.

Time to call in an investigative reporter on the 30 yr money scam. Their fierce defenses and attack on people who question them show some serious attempts at hiding something.

MAK, if you are Marie Kangas, then you have no business... NONE... calling people out on hateful words. One of the questions I wanted to ask you at the candidates' forum was "based on your behavior at recent public meetings, how can we be assured you're mature enough to do this job?"

We can't be, of course. I too have sat through many meetings at which you have been disruptive and rude. Evidently being on the other side of the table hasn't changed things. A "different manor (sic)," indeed.

You should be as ashamed of yourself as much of the rest of Sandwich is of you. And then you should grow up, or resign, or both.

All we wish for the New Year is for the School Committee to advocate for the CHILDREN and TAXPAYERS, not the Union leaders, not the Comm School Employees or the pool people!

There doesn't seem to be anyway to stop this run-away train until May elections unless some type of community action is taken. It makes sense that there are those interested in organizing but leaders need to step forward. If the law suit takes as long as predicted the SC after May's election could be in the drivers seat from a different perspective depending on what happens.

Soon we will be able to turn these issues into campaign issues. It would seem that people's eyes have been opened to the dangers of small town elections and small town lobby groups. There is clarity in all this. So now we can do something about it.

10:03 Your optimisum is refreshing! BUT 85% of the voters did not turn out in last election for voting for school committee members and the ones that did voted in Crossman and Kangas, even knowing Crossman was an employee of the Community School! Crossman duped a lot of voters! Kangas saying she got "Nuttin" should have sealed the deal of her not getting on the board.
School Union and Community school supporters were the bulk of the voters last time.

Sherry Marshall continues to get in because no one runs against her and the town uninvolved voters see her name, recognize it and votes her back in without knowing how little she actually has accomplished in 20 plus yrs. Sherry has always been a rubber stamper and sits on the fence on most issues, until it affects her community school groupies, then she is relentless, that's why Dr. Johnson has been destroyed, she wouldn't go along with the status quo Union and Community School groupies.

We would hope that 85% of the voters will be awake this May, get off their duffs, educate themselves better and come out and vote Marshall out.

WHO IS WILLING TO RUN FOR MARSHALL SEAT? ANY TAKERS, LETS GET YOUR NAME OUT THERE NOW!

Is Barbara Susko gonna run again? I hope she does but it would be nice to know soon so people can get their names out there now! The children need you!

Anon 10:03

Are you kidding me Sherry has never rubber stamped anything. Thats why she has taken so much abuse. Because the 4 sc question the super.
and her supporters don't like it.In the past few years most questions asked were not received very
well. It's so nice that this blog allows incorrect info to be published. Come on Bob follow your Rules of the Road

Anonymous said...

I'm not sure "difference of opinion" and "incorrect information" are the same thing.

I don't recall ever seeing Sherry ask many "hard" questions.

Glad to see you got your caps lock fixed.

3:42 Are you flippin kidding us, are you current s.c. member or relative of one?
If not, you need to take out the past few years SCAT tapes of say the budget season and just play the Sherry tapes and she uses the same script everyyear! She does not have a clue about the budget and never will have a clue, she doesn't even understand basic financial percentage increases or the financial consequences of her past votes on our town.
Chair Marshall has been a rubber stamper for over 20 yrs. just look at her voting records on hiring & protecting the SEA Union staff at all costs, she approved outrageous teacher contract over the past twenty years. She protects the comm. school at all costs, even to the detriment of our childrens' educations.
Dr. Johnson wouldn't stay under the radar and just collect her salary like some of the past superintendants did, Dr. Johnson questioned many long standing practices, held people accountable and it got her fired.
People left the system because they knew the old ways were not gonna fly with Gueren Simons board and Dr. Johnson. Rick Reino bailed because he knew the Gueren Simons committee was not happy with his usual "I don't know" to financial questions. Lehane left because he didn't want to accept and make the financial changes to the Comm. School.

Don't you think it's outrageous they have not responded to the auditors report yet? Don't you think their minimizing of the auditor's report citing illegal procedures is outrageous? Don't you think the lack of making the necessary changes is irresponsible? What about the 3 Million deficit they have not addressed and it's January. They will scapegoat Dr. Johnson for the deficit too just watch them the next two months.

Chair Marshall is a perfect example of why term limits are a good thing.

Ms. Marshall loves the power, control and micromanaging the superintendant, which is not the role of an individual s.c. member. The four women want to micromanage Dr. Johnson and she won't allow them to nor should she allow them to. Go back and look at Marshall's voting record and SCAT tapes, come back and tell us she's not a rubber stamper, her famous line is
"this is the way we have always done it."
