Gee, how many examples of people missing an obvious outcome can we think of?

I see Sandwich Taxpayers as the turkeys and members of Town Government as the blind farmer.
Our Town’s leadership lacks vision, perspective and foresight. And, they regularly inflict their own kind of damage.
The turkeys (us taxpayers) are just trying to survive.

I was actually thinking the opposite -- the blind farmer represents the apathetic & clueless voters who get distracted by special interests spewing their own version of "reality" !

I can hear those turkeys now -- "The Pool makes Money", "We can't build a firehouse for less than $30 million", "The Fireboat was FREE!".

I think the farmer needs ro take off his dark glasses and whack a few birds!

and, of course, " We WANT development -- just don't build anything!".

And "a gasline! Oh My God, we will have people running through the woods with their clothes on fire and small children will be incinerated as they wait for their school bus!"

Is it just me, or, have we seen this movie before and don’t we know how it ends?
Today’s Cape Cod Times reports that the Town, represented by Attorney Davis, is once again defending itself against a lawsuit. The suit involves our police department, our schools and the actions of a few police officers.
According to the newspaper the police department has already conducted a review of the incident and concluded that their officer was “incompetent” and that the officer “repeatedly lied.”
So, what is Attorney Davis litigating? And, how much is he billing?
It’s pretty hard to imagine how you defend a client that’s already admitted on the record that they are “incompetent liars.”
Settle.

Speaking of the another suit against the town, I agree with Crazy Guy. I don't think the law or rather the way it is practiced works to resolve issues or even provide justice . It seems to be about a perpetual system involving an industry rather than the principals on which it was founded. I do not get the town's response except it is consistent with the perpetual litigation approach that seems to be part of the town's management style.

If one only knew how many lawsuits have been brought against this town because of overall poor management!! And I might add the town hasn't won to many!!!
