This is actually a good news story. Most of the time, like with our school roofs and windows, our town’s buildings and equipment falls apart just outside of the manufacturer’s warranty period leaving us taxpayers footing the bill.
No need to worry, I'm sure we have plenty of time before the special time meeting to add an additional article seeing if the town will appropriate money to fix the (Albatross) along with the million dollar pool and the unique fixer upper a.k.a. Sandwich High School! “We are not rich by what we possess but by what we can do without.” ― Immanuel Kant
It should be noted that these engines will need something that we here in Sandwich seem to find a way to not do. It is called maintence and given the history on these engines from what has been relayed to me is they will need huge dollars to be set aside to maintain them.
One should also see how long the present warranty period may be to see if we will be able to do all of the needed periodic work required to keep them running the way they should be.
This may only a an hiccup , but it also puts every one on notice that stuff does happen and we as town need to be prepared when it does.

I blame Bush.
